Based on a 15th century carol (also used by Brahms in his Two Songs for Contralto, Piano and Viola, Op. 91), Christmas Lullaby hasa gentle, lilting rhythmic feel with a sense of one beat per bar. A sol id teaching and holiday performance piece for younger players.
