Edward Elgars La Capricieuse (The Capricious One) op. 17 is to be reckoned to the category of genre pieces that were cultivated with great ardor around 1900 and satisfied the expectations of both public and virtuosi. The present edition is a reprint of the first edition released by Breitkopf & Härtel in Leipzig in 1893.
