Four of the five arrangements in this unique collection are in the form of a quodlibet, a composition combining two or more pre-existing melodies in counterpoint. Both duet performers are afforded opportunity to sing out their melody or recede into quieter roles, as notated in the score. Titles are morphed together to include the matching carols, much as the music has overlapping melodies (Silent Night at the Manger, Rejoicing Upon the Midnight Clear, Wassailing on Three ships and Jolly Old Pachelbel). Jingle Bells stands alone as a single-tune arrangement.
