March 2013 marked the 25th anniversary of Symphony No. 1 The Lord of the Rings by Dutch composer Johan de Meij. For the occasion, the orchestra that presented the work's world premiere, the Royal Military Bandof the Belgian Guides, held a gala concert conducted by Johan de Meij h imself. This special anniversary collectible hardcover edition of the original symphony score features several articles, along with the originalhandwritten score and a CD with the live recording of the BRT Radio per formance of the legendary concert on 15 March 1988.
